The regional Shavuot night (Moldova)

On June 8-9 night, the youth club HAVERIM celebrated Shavuot – the holiday of giving the Torah in JCC KEDEM, uniting more than 60 teenagers from Chisinau, Belts, Tiraspol, and Rybnitsa! This time most of the responsibility was taken by teens, as they are the ones who participated actively both in preparation and in performing the sessions. The schedule was tense. Participants were studying the Torah texts in different interactive forms from 8 pm to 7 am.

A regional Shavuot Night has taken place in Dnipro (Ukraine)

A significant event in the Jewish history is giving of the Torah. The holiday Shavuot is dedicated to the event. One of the most important traditions is the Torah studying during the night. On June 8-9, there was a regional Shavuot Night in teenage club Shahar. 60 participants from different Ukrainian teens clubs gathered in Dnipro to spend this holiday night and get a lot of bright emotions, but what is more important – new knowledge!

      Active Jewish Teens

      Active Jewish Teens is a network of teenage Jewish clubs in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. It was created in August 2014 with the support of JDC and today it exists in more than 60 cities of the CIS. The main principles of AJT work are Jewish education, volunteering, adolescent self-government and unification of the Jewish community

      AJT history began in 2012, when one of the seminars, youth club leaders, it became clear that there is a need and demand for unification of the CIS youth clubs in a lot of traffic.
