Project «JewSweetness» from Sonya Pivenstein (Yekaterinburg)

Hanukkah in the Yekaterinburg community always occupies a special place. All 8 days of Hanukkah we have even more vibrant life, the number of events goes off scale, and the number of people is increasing. And this Hanukkah was not an exception.

Sonya Pivenstein, after returning from the AJT conference and not yet attending the seminars, was eager to launch her own AJT project. And, as part of the preparations for the Hanukkah Charity Fair, which was held for the first time in Yekaterinburg, she held the first meeting of her project "JewSweetness". The aim of the project is cooking of traditional Jewish treats, that are customary to cook for the holiday.

And this time we met together and cooked ... a drum roll ... NOT donuts! No, it's too banal, we decided to made delicious pretzels with raisins and walnuts. Photos did not remain, because they were sold and eaten at the fair within split second. But memories are still fresh ...

The next meeting in the framework of Sonya’s project will be dedicated to Tu B'Shvat and we suggest you  to come up with ideas what so unusual and delicious can be cooked!
